Our story began with a thought of producing and exporting African handicrafts
by a young and dynamic Designer and Entrepreneur hence the name “DESCRAFT”
an acronym for design and craft.
With the advent of computers and the flexibility it gave to designers
the dream quickly gave way to providing prompt and personalized business
stationery, commemorative articles & souvenirs to suit all levels
of businesses. This desire sparked the start of DESCRAFT
Here are some highlights from our past:
1991
Business started with printing on all smooth surfaces – Leather,
Paper, Wood, Metal, Fabric, etc.
Social souvenirs like wedding stationery, gifts, etc were made for clients
with a lot of success.
1992
Button badges of sizes 38mm, 45mm and 58mm were added to our list of souvenirs.
Souvenirs for political parties emerged, as it was election year. Acquisition
of a six- colour T-shirt printing equipment with dryers.
1996
Acquisition of Offset Printing equipment, a guillotine, lamination and
wire binding equipment.
1997
Publishing of Books and Manuals for Government, Corporate bodies and NGO’s
began
2002
Desktop colour separations equipment acquired to do separations to A3
size.
